Questions you may have about counselling

People come to therapy for many reasons. You might be feeling low, anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply unsure of why things feel so hard right now. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet - whatever brings you here, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with greater understanding and self-compassion.
I work with a broad range of issues, including but not limited to:
Anxiety and depression
Stress and overwhelm
Self-esteem and confidence issues
Grief and loss
Relationship difficulties
Family conflicts
Life transitions and personal growth
Work-related stress

Therapy gives you a confidential, judgement-free space to speak openly. Instead of giving advice, I work with you collaboratively to help you feel truly heard and comfortable showing up as yourself.
Some sessions may focus on your emotional well-being, your current relationships or day-to-day life circumstances, while others may involve gently exploring earlier experiences and how they shape your present sense of self.
We will work at your pace to explore current stress, past experiences, and the patterns that keep you feeling stuck. Rather than telling you what to do or trying to "fix" you, I adapt my approach to what you need, helping you make sense of your experience and rebuild trust in yourself.

Therapy sessions last 50 minutes, usually taking place on a weekly basis on an agreed day and time to provide you with a consistent, regular space. Sessions cost £60. On occasion I may have some short term, concession slots at a reduced rate available - please enquire.
Fees are payable by bank transfer prior to your session. Please note, payments must be up to date for sessions to continue.

Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee.
